The new link for "Catherine" episode 30

I hate American TV networks' decision makers...

What the bunch of f*****g idiots... NBC has cancelled "Life", one of the best, the most intelligent TV series - about the cop who after spending 12 years in prison falsely accused for murder, returns to work. Great writing, great acting from British actor Damian Lewis who played Charlie Crews and Sarah Shahi, who played his partner, detective Dani Reese.
Claudia Black was supposed to play Charlie's ex-wife, they filmed a pilot with her in 2007, but she got pregnant with her second son and they took another actress to play the part...
Now I hope that ABC isn't going to be that stupid as NBC and will renew "Castle", another detective TV series I discovered recently and enjoy very much - great Nathan Fillion as Rick Castle, the writer of crime stories and Stana Katic who plays detective Beckett is also very good. "Castle" is produced by "Farscape" people, so I hope that when the show is renewed for the next season, they will invite Claudia Black for an episode or two...

Catherine & Arnaud Calendar :)

Yup, I did it :) Created the second calendar for 2009, with the photos from the wonderful "Catherine" TV series. Haven't printed it, 'cause my another calendar is on the wall, but I've created this one for Catherine and Arnaud fans out there. And the lovely Mistral from catherinedemontsalvy.ch website put it in the Bonus area of her website - http://www.catherinedemontsalvy.ch/Bonus_for-fans.htm

Enjoy!

Catherine de Montsalvy

I wonder how many people all around the world are familiar with the wonderful series of Juliette Benzoni's novels describing the adventures and very rocky and complicated love of Catherine Legoix (later de Montsalvy) and Arnaud de Montsalvy at the times of French-English war in the first half of XV century? Back in 1985 Marion Sarraut directed the TV series for French Antenne 2 channel which was aired in several countries in the next years. Last year, the DVDs with this wonderful TV series were released in France in extremely limited form because the company which released it is the book club and they sell DVDs (or books etc.) for their members only at the territory of France, unfortunately they are in French language only without any subtitles. That's why I've decided to upload the TV series and put the links here hoping that somebody is going to find some time to translate it into English for those who don't speak French... :)

BTW, if any of the TV directors would consider filming "Catherine" novels again these days I think that Claudia Black would be perfect as Sara, Catherine's best friend :)

Here there are all 30 episodes. FYI: 30 episodes on the DVDs equal the original 60 episodes of the series when it was on TV in France back in 1986. The episodes were 26 minutes long, for the DVD release they've merged 2 episodes into one 52 minutes long.

Claudia Black for the new Doctor Who!

It would be great idea if Doctor Who producers approached Claudia Black to play the new Doctor, she's just perfect for the female Doctor. Some people told Claudia during recent Farscape convention that they would love to see her as the new Doctor and apparently Claudia was delighted about the idea and suggested that the fans should pitch it :) Especially that she's part British (with double Australian/British citizenship), so it still counts. Now we just have to make it happen, so we can hear her wonderful Australian/British accent on the show... :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CLAUDIA BLACK!

From the bottom of my heart I would like to wish you all the best, may all your dreams and wishes come true and we can see you on the BIG SCREEN some day in the Oscar winning movie. Or on the small screen in the Emmy winning TV series :) Once again: ALL THE BEST!

Back in 2000, SciFi's Ear Theatre invited Claudia Black (Aeryn Sun on "Farscape") and Anthony Simcoe (D'Argo on "Farscape") to record the audio drama "Black Canoes" by Tony Daniel. Both Claudia and Anthony gave just brilliant performances in this one. Enjoy listening!

From the archive... City Life

Back in 1996 Claudia Black starred in the New Zealand made TV series "City Life", which was quite popular and well received all around the world. The series portrayed the lives and loves of ten singles who lived in an upmarket apartment building in Auckland, New Zealand. The show was touted as New Zealand's answer to Melrose Place, but definitely was much more fun to watch than the American show.
Claudia Black played Angela Kostapas, a corporate lawyer, who later quits her cushy position and tries her hand at legal aide. She shares a past with Aaron (they had an affair and she ended up aborting his baby) and is accidentally responsible for the death of Damon South (played by well known New Zealand actor Kevin Smith, who died in the accident during filming the movie in Bejing in 2002).

Here there are links to all 26 episodes of the series:

London Film & Comic Con - July 19-20th - CLAUDIA BLACK!!!

OK... I must admit my negative feelings towards Showmasters are a little bit warmer and positive now after last weekend's London Film & Comic Con, for which they invited Claudia Black after cancelling her appearance at June's Chevron 7 convention and she was signing autographs and talking to her fans, and taking photo shoots with them for both days. I met Claudia previously almost 6 years ago, also in UK, at a one day Farscape convention organized by another cons organizers - Wolf Events. Claudia said, on Sunday when she was signing my items, that she remembered me from Wolf Events' con... this was lovely :) I gave her a small gift, a digital version of 2008 Vala/Daniel calendar I made myself at the end of last year and a copy of a very beautiful CD I've been listening to recently,  I hope she'll like the music. It was also wonderful to meet my Farscape friend, Wendy whom I've known for over 6 years now and it was great to put some other Terra Firma names to faces. ProwlerPilotGirl - Gina - was wearing Aeryn's costume on Saturday, the green top and the boots were the original pieces from "Farscape", and Vala's outfit from the beginning of Stargate SG-1's ninth season on Sunday. And her friends were wearing other SG-1 team members' uniforms. They were extremely popular on Sunday and everybody was taking pics of them. Even the photographer, who was taking photo shoots with Claudia Black and other guests, offered them a photo session at the place of the photo shoots. This was really great. I hope they're going to post photos online soon! :)
At the end of my short conversation with Claudia I said that I hope for our next meeting to be earlier than in another 6 years time... she smiled and said that it's definitely gonna happen sooner, especially that she has family in UK and I'm pretty sure that she wants her children to spend a lot of time with their British cousins (Claudia is Australian, but resides in LA currently with her family).
On Sunday I also attended Patrick Stewart's talk. Now it would be great to see Claudia in the movie with him...

I hate Showmasters!!!

It's UNFAIR. It's simply UNFAIR. A little bit over a month ago Showmasters, the Chevron 7 con organizers in UK announced that Claudia Black will be one of their guests at the upcoming event, mid-June. I've made an enormous effort to collect huge amount of money for me, 195 GBP to purchase The Gold Ticket for this con, even had to take out a bank loan, 'cause I'm still waiting for my tax return... Today morning an annoucement appeared at Chevron 7's website that Claudia cancelled her appearance at this event. I hope it's work related, so we can see her on something new on TV soon... After this news I e-mailed Chevron 7 con organizers with polite request to cancel my ticket and get my money back, even with 10% cut off the price. But NO, NO, NO, NO WAY. The tickets appeared to be not only NOT  REFUNDABLE, but also NOT TRANSFERABLE, so re-selling it it basically impossible because they're checking the ID at the door of the con. I'm accusing Showmasters for stealing my money. 195 GBP is not something I can write off just like that, because it's almost half of my monthly salary. I'm warning everybody not to deal with Showmasters because of their UNFRIENDLY attitude towards their customers. They're common THIEVES. Nothing more.

Tribute to Peter Rasmussen - R.I.P

Almost a month ago a totally unixpected and very sad news reached me - Peter Rasmussen, the Australian director, creator of Claudia Black's machinima movie "Stolen Life", had died. I've never met him, only exchanged several e-mails with him, the last one at the beginning of this year, less than a month and a half before his tragic death, in which he told me that he was looking for a paid job...  His best friend and co-operator, Jackie Turnure, who is "Stolen Life" voice director, wrote this truly beautiful tribute to Peter yesterday.
R.I.P Peter, you are and will be missed.
